Peugeot officially announce that their Boxer vans will now be fitted with BlueHDi engines.
These highly efficient units combine power, economy and low CO2 levels to produce one the most desirable vans on the roads of Surrey and Hampshire
We know that local businesses in Surrey and Hampshire will appreciate this news as making their commercial fleet more economical is always a priority. With all of the hard work that these commercials achieve on a day to day basis, having a more reliable, powerful and economical engine fitted to their van is good news for all of us.
BlueHDi vs HDi what’s the difference?
The BlueHDi 2.0 litre engine increases power and torque over the original unit and is manufactured to the strict Euro6 regulations. There are 3 power levels available in this engine:
- 110 hp
- 130 hp
- 160 hp
Paired with a six-speed manual gearbox and Stop & Start technology, the BlueHDi engine fitted to a Boxer van can manage up to 47 mpg with only 154 g/km of CO2. This is staggering improvement over other vans in this segment and one that ensures Peugeot stays ahead of its competitors.
BlueHDi engines have been offered in almost all of the Peugeot range to date and our customers who have experienced them will never go back.
For more on the BlueHDi units fitted to the Peugeot Boxer van, see its dedicated page here. We discuss specification, price, economy, reviews and even a 360 interior view. It’s just another thing we cheerfully do.
