New Peugeot 5008 Revealed

The new Peugeot 5008 SUV has been revealed at it is a striking new change over the current model. Inspired by the same design of the upcoming new 3008, this larger model will feature everything that you would expect from its younger sibling and even more space.

Fitted with Peugeot’s iconic i-Cockpit, the dashboard is clean, modern and uncluttered (much like all of our range). The 5008’s staple is its seven spacious seats and this model is no different. Thanks to it’s extremely flexibility modularity, the New Peugeot 5008 SUV rivals the very best MPVs out on the market. Due to be on display at the upcoming Paris Motor show, the new Peugeot 5008 SUV is sure to turn heads.

The new Peugeot 5008 SUV’s i-Cockpit is fitted with some clever additions including:

Each of the second row’s seats are the same width meaning every rear passenger in row 2 will experience the same comfortable driving experience. Far too many vehicles sacrifice the size of the row 2 centre seat and even children are aware of the difference. Added to this is the flexibility of the second row seats. They act individually with five different angles of inclination and three point ISOFIX anchor points.

The third row (containing two extra spaces (a standard feature on all new Peugeot 5008’s are spacious and comfortable enough for adults and thanks to it’s modularity, they can be folded into the boot floor, leaving a huge, flat loading space. They can even be removed easily thanks to their extremely light weight (11kg).

Let’s talk about that design. Wow! We love the designs on all of the Peugeot models but the new 3008 and 5008 are set to be the most desirable cars on the road. For everyday use, you can opt for a hands-free smart electric tailgate (standard on the GT version) which opens and closes quickly by placing your foot under the rear bumper.

Thanks to the new 5008 being built on PSA’s EMP2 modular platform, the 5008 may look imposing but is a breeze to drive, lightweight and nimble and thanks to its low CO2 engine choices, it’s economical as well. Moving from an MPV design to a more modern SUV  one is a bold choice on Peugeot’s part but we think (considering the current climate), it’s the right move to make.
