Grip Control – Peugeot’s solution to winter weather driving

As Game of Thrones so regularly puts it, winter is coming.  With it comes harsh weather along with extra strain on your:

• Battery
• Tyres
• Traction control
• ABS.

Whilst these systems assist drivers on a day to day basis, no matter what vehicle you choose, gaining traction in slippery conditions can be a difficult task.

Grip Control optimises traction in low-grip conditions. It adapts to the terrain by acting on the front wheels, using the electronic components already present on the vehicle. The driver remains in control and can decide at any time to move from Standard mode using the dial located on the centre console, choosing instead Snow, Off-Road, Sand or ESP Off.

Grip Control running in Snow Mode has been demonstrated perfectly by Peugeot as they took a 2008 up the Tamworth Snowdome with ease. This ordinarily difficult task was handled perfectly by the 2008 and proves that Grip Control is a must in extreme winter weather.
