On 7th September 2025, Derek and Emily McQueen successfully completed the Sir Chris Hoy Tour De 4 finishing at the prestigious Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome. They not only crossed the finish line but did so having raised an incredible £3,314 for Prostate Cancer UK. This wasn’t just another cycling event. It was a ride with a powerful message of hope and determination.
Early Sunday morning training sessions were nothing new for our Managing Director, Derek McQueen, and his daughter Emily McQueen, our dedicated Sales Manager. However these weren’t just any ordinary training rides. They were preparing for something truly special.

The event proved to be an overwhelming success, with participants collectively raising over £2 million for various cancer charities. This remarkable achievement demonstrates the incredible power of community spirit and the cycling community’s commitment to making a difference in the fight against cancer.
Following Sir Chris Hoy’s courageous disclosure of his stage 4 cancer diagnosis, the Tour de 4 was established with a clear and inspiring purpose: to demonstrate that whilst devastating stage 4 cancer doesn’t define the limits of what’s possible. It’s about showing that life, dreams, and achievements continue beyond a diagnosis.
Father and Daughter United in Purpose

The sight of Derek and Emily out on those early Sunday morning training rides represents more than just physical preparation. It’s a testament to their commitment to making a difference. Together, they raised vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK, combining their passion for cycling with a cause that touches countless families.
