Charters Peugeot sponsorship deal with Aldershot Town Women’s Football Team

Charters of Aldershot are absolutely delighted to announce our sponsorship of the newly formed Women’s Aldershot Town Football Club team. Our name will be proudly displayed on the front of their shirts as they prepare for their upcoming matches, marking an exciting new chapter in our long-standing support for local football.

Come along and support them at their first game at the EBB stadium on Sunday 5^th October against Widbrook Unitedat 2pm

The tremendous win of the Lionesses during the summer at the Euros really lifted the profile of women’s football throughout the nation, not least at local level. Sporting equality is now at the forefront right from girls at primary school to women of all ages enjoying the comradery of such an exciting team sport.

Charters have a very long established relationship with Aldershot Town Football Club which started back in 1980, making them the longest standing sponsor of the club. Being a family run business, and now having a women running an extremely successful Sales department for Peugeot and Citroen, it’s a natural progression that the women’s game would be a focus.

Emily McQueen said “‘”As a local business which has really strong ties with the club, it’s a real pleasure to have the opportunity to show our support to the women’s team with a 2 year shirt deal. I’m a huge fan of women’s football in general and was lucky enough to attend the Women’s Euros during the summer, so to be able to show our commitment and support to our local team is a real honour“.

She added, “We’ve thought long and hard about the look of the shirt and decided to go for a retro feel using the 2000 logo which is when we were first shirt sponsors for the club. We’re wishing the team success in the coming season and we’ll be there cheering you on!”
