Bradley Philpot | from Charters to Silverstone

Bradley Philpot and the Altran Team with the 208 won their class at Silverstone over the weekend and finished 4th overall. Congratulations to the team.

Bradley Philpot has reunited with Peugeot UK to drive the powerful 300 bhp 208 Endurance Car (pictured) in the inaugural 24 hour Silverstone race this weekend (2nd and 3rd April). With his sights set firmly on first place, Bradley (a Palmersport instructor) has been an ambassador for Peugeot UK since 2013 and this year, he’s hoping to take the 208 GTi By Peugeot Sport to a class win this weekend.

The 24 hour Silverstone race has more than 70 teams from across the world competiting in 7 classes. Bradley will compete in the A3 class and he will partner with a collection of drivers who are all previous race winners in their respective classes. This race is only open to Touring Cars and therefore Peugeot UK is aiming for not just a class win but an overall podium domination with two 208 vehicles.

Bradley Philpot stated:

“I’m very excited to have the opportunity to compete in such a high profile event with PEUGEOT UK on home soil. To be aiming for the overall podium makes me very happy, driving for one of the most professional teams in the 24H SERIES paddock, and it’s fantastic to reunite with them after our successful campaign at the Nurburgring in 2013.”

The 208 GTi race car is a very special beast – with only three being ever produced by the clever technicians at Peugeot Sport. These cars share the identical 1.6l Turbocharged engine and Torsen differential to the road edition 208 GTi by Peugeot Sport. It has simply been tuned from the track, giving it an extra boost of horsepower from 208bhp to 300bhp. Weighing in at only 1000kg, it goes…..well..you know..
