3008 SUV wins overall in Driver Power Awards 2018

Only 18 months in production, the Peugeot 3008 SUV has won its 45th award and it’s a big one: The Driver Power Car of the Year 2018 by Auto Express.

Voting is achieved by actual owners and drivers of the vehicles so categories such as day-to-day reliability, boot space,  customer support, safety features and customer satisfaction are key.

We are proud to announce that the multi award-winning Peugeot 3008 SUV came top (with an overall score of 93.88); beating out all of the German Swedish and Japanese brands. This shows that Peugeot have really turned a corner with regards to reliability and customer satisfaction.

Charters Peugeot of Aldershot know that the 3008 SUV is a popular choice with our customers with many of them selecting this model over other traditional hatchbacks. With the rest of their SUV range receiving similar praise, the future is definitely looking very bright for the victorious French brand.

The Driver Power Survey managed to extract several telling quotes from actual owners such as Nikki Young from the Mutual Support armed forces charity (dealing with Multiple Sclerosis). An owner of a Peugeot 3008 SUV GT-Line claimed:

“It’s just fantastic – the best car I’ve ever owned. I’ve covered 13,000 miles in six months, and it’s so smooth. The power is there when I want it, and the auto box is responsive”

Choosing a 3008 SUV over its rivals was an easy decision:

“I looked at the Volkswagen Tiguan and Nissan Qashqai, but the 3008’s interior, powertrain and styling swayed me…it’s the bee’s knees; I love my 3008 and keep it spotless.”

Speaking about the driving it each and every day:

“The driving position is cosseting, there are plenty of storage places and space in the rear is excellent…I was dubious about the fabric on the dash, but it’s been durable. Nothing has broken – and I’m good at snapping things…plus, I return 55mpg, despite carrying a 95kg wheelchair and hoist in the boot.”

In general, customers claimed:

The “manual box is spot on with good spacing between gears, well-judged gaiting and smooth action” and the dashboard design “is unique and stands head and shoulders above other cars, regardless or perceived quality”.
