e-2008 SUV All-electric version
Customers are able to opt for an all-electric variant of the Peugeot 2008 SUV called e-2008 SUV. This particular model features some impressive specifications and measured against real-world driving conditions means, the figures listed are achievable under daily use:
- 50kWh battery
- Up to 193 miles of range
- Supports 100kW rapid charging with 80% of charge achievable within 30 minutes
- Conventional charging will take between 5 and 8 hours.
- You can opt to turn on regenerative braking or not for a more natural car feel.
- As of March 2019, the average cost (per kWh) is 14.9988 pence (including VAT). That means for every 193 miles you travel, you will potentially pay approximately £7.49 to recharge. Even the most economical of cars cannot achieve this. If you had a vehicle that managed 60 mpg then the cost of driving the same distance (using 119.9 pence per litre) would be approximately £17.53.
With the cost of fuel ever-rising, these savings will be even more. The all-electric e-2008 is also exempt from Road Taxation charges and London Congestion Charging so even more savings can be made.
Electric powered cars are now no longer an option for the very wealthy of us. The Peugeot e-208 and now e-2008 are here to show how everyone can benefit from environmentally green an cheaper driving.
